The short version

We measure how many people read the site with Google Analytics 4, we keep the messages you send through the contact form, and our host keeps standard server logs. We do not sell your personal information, we run no advertising today, and we do not use any advertising or social media tracking pixels. The rest of this page explains each item.

What we collect

  • Google Analytics 4. Pages viewed, approximate location (country and city), device and browser type, how you arrived, and how long you stayed. Google sets first-party cookies to tell visits apart. We use Google Consent Mode: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default, and advertising storage is off everywhere.
  • Contact form. Your name, email address, topic and message, processed by our host, Netlify, through Netlify Forms. We use them only to reply and to fix what you report.
  • Server logs. Netlify records technical request data such as IP address, time and requested page to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Your choices and rights

Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, the site switches analytics storage off for you automatically. You can also block analytics with any mainstream content blocker; the site works the same either way.

US state privacy rights. Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with privacy laws, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. To make any request, including a request to opt out, use the contact form and choose "Something else". We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

Visitors in the UK and EU. You have rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection, and the right to complain to your data protection authority. Analytics runs only with consent, which is off by default for you.

Retention, children and changes

Analytics data is kept for Google Analytics' standard retention period. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle them. The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If we add advertising, this policy will be updated before any ad runs, and the date at the top of this page will change.
