Porsche Mission S specs
Porsche revealed the Mission S without a single performance number. This page keeps the facts Porsche stated apart from the figures that came from leaks and reports, so you can see exactly which is which.

The short answer
- Porsche has confirmed the Mission S is a mid-engined vision model previewing a super sports car platform above the 911.
- Porsche has not announced engine type, horsepower, transmission, weight, 0-60 time, price or release date.
- Porsche CEO Michael Leiters says the platform can take pure combustion, hybrid or plug-in hybrid power and there will be no battery-electric version.
- Reported but unconfirmed: a 5.0-litre flat-eight, possibly plug-in hybrid, with 700 to 750 hp, an 8,000 rpm redline and a price near €500,000.
- Confirmed hardware: a fully integrated active rear wing, a 917-inspired cooling fan, 928-style lightweight wheels, and no centre display.

Said on the record by Porsche executives
Interviews, 15 OctNot in the press release, but said directly by Porsche's CEO and R&D chief to journalists at the reveal. Quoted exactly.
"We have the flexibility in that platform to do pure ICE, hybrid and also plug-in hybrid."
"There won't be a BEV on that platform: there is no demand."
"In principle it could be a very pure, lightweight [combustion] sports car or combine performance hybridisation."
"We are developing a super sports car platform, and we intend to use it as the basis for a new mid-engined car."
What that settles: the production car will not be fully electric. What it leaves open: whether it is pure combustion, hybrid or plug-in hybrid, or offered in more than one form.

How to read what is out there
The engine. Porsche's release says only that the engine sits in the middle of the car. The flat-eight story predates the reveal and comes from German press reports and leaked teaser material, not from Porsche. A flat-eight would be a first for a Porsche road car, which is exactly why it travels so fast. Treat it as plausible and unconfirmed.
Combustion or electric. Settled in one direction: CEO Michael Leiters told Auto Express there will be no battery-electric version, and that the platform can take pure combustion, hybrid or plug-in hybrid power. That fits Porsche's 7 October strategy release, which announced investment in "brand-defining combustion engine/PHEV drives". Which of those the production car uses is still open.
The numbers on the show car's screens. The instruments in Porsche's interior photos display figures. We are not reading anything into them. Concept-car displays are styled for the photograph, and Porsche has not tied any figure on them to the car's performance.
Price and timing. The €500,000 figure is a pre-reveal report. Porsche said the platform will be a permanent addition to the range, which places it as a series model rather than a limited hypercar, but gave no date. Porsche's strategy release says that by 2030 it plans "at least one brand-defining new product every year"; it did not say which year this one is.
We update this page when Porsche publishes numbers. Each change goes on the corrections and updates log with its date.
